Core Drilling

Core drilling provides a means of cutting precise circular holes in materials such as reinforced concrete, precast concrete, asphalt, brick and other materials. Our drilling rigs are capable of drilling core holes from 18mm to 1000mm in diameter and to virtually any depth required. All machines are designed to drill through floors and walls and most angles. Stitch drilling is also available.

Ring Sawing

The ring saw is a hand held petrol operated machine used for cutting walls and floors in materials such as reinforced concrete, precast concrete panels, bricks and other materials up to depths of 260mm. Ring sawing is extremely useful for cutting out window and door openings through double brick and block wall from a single side giving you a perfect cut.

We also have electric and hi frequency rings saws where fumes are not permitted.

Road Sawing

Road sawing is extremely useful for cutting out trenches, concrete pads, suspended slabs, bridges, roads, kerb and gutter and unwanted concrete up to depths of 400 mm through reinforced concrete and asphalt on reasonably level and flat surfaces. It’s also used for road repair work and expansion cutting in new concrete slabs.

We also have electric road saws that are ideal for cutting in confined areas and are able to fit through a standard doorways. These saws are capable of cutting up to depths of 200mm through reinforced concrete and asphalt on reasonably level and flat surfaces.

Hand Sawing

The hand saw is a hand held petrol operated machine used for cutting up to depths of 150mm in walls and floors in materials such as reinforced concrete, precast concrete panels, asphalt, brick and other materials. We also have electric and hi frequency handsaws where fumes are not permitted.

Soff Cutting and Joint Sealing

Soff Cutting machines are used for early entry expansion cutting in concrete generally within the first 12 to 36 hours of being poured. Soff Cutting will provide the best solution for minimising the risk of random cracking and shrinkage in concrete. Joint sealing is done to prevent the entry of surface water getting below the concrete, as water infiltration will dramatically shorten the durability of concrete.

Wall Sawing

Wall sawing is extremely useful for cutting out windows, ceilings, stair cases, door openings, bank vaults and lift shafts up to depths of 700 mm through reinforced concrete. This saw is remotely operated and can be used to cut either vertically, horizontally or inverted.

Wire Sawing

Wire sawing is extremely useful for cutting out large sections of concrete such as piers, columns, capping beams, footings, bridge sections and can even be used under water. Wire sawing is a technique that uses a multi strand diamond wire. This wire is fed through a series of pulleys to make the cut. Flush cutting can be made by using special pulleys.

Concrete Scanning

Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is a non-destructive and non-intrusive method of surveying that can be carried out quickly and efficiently, without causing any delays in construction or interrupting other tradespeople onsite. It is the most cost effective sub-surface investigation method available. Our scanners are capable of locating reinforced steel, post tension cables, live wires, dead wires, pipes and other foreign bodies in the concrete.

Robotic Demolition Machine

Our robotic demolition machines are ideal for working in environments where noise, access, and toxic fumes are a problem such as shopping centers, hospitals, banks and office blocks.

Our machines have three easy changeable attachments jack hammer, bucket and concrete crushes.

This unit is small enough to fit through most doorways ranging from 780mm in width and has the ability to climb stairways. What’s more, the lightweight precision digital remote-control allows our highly trained operators to operate the machine at a safe distance.

Concrete Removal

The removal of suspended slabs is extremely difficult and dangerous. We are fully equipped and trained to remove suspended slabs and have developed an efficient method of removal. We can also remove concrete swimming pools.

Slurry Control and Removal

If controlling concrete slurry is a problem for you, XPRESSCUT has the solution. Whether the job is large or small, our vacuum units will remove the slurry without any harm to the environment.
